Silence
Haven't blogged for a long time,
There is so much to say, so much in my head,
So much that will remain unsaid;
Oh those wasted years, all that wasted time
I think of Rilke going for years without writing a word,
and then producing in a matter of weeks,
in a castle besieged by the sea "The Duino Elegies".
Even silence is preparation .

Jumping Jacks Flash!!!!
Come to the edge.
We might fall.
Come to the edge.
It’s too high!
We might fall.
Come to the edge.
It’s too high!
"But I say: That which is falling should also be pushed!
And him you do not teach to fly, teach - to fall faster!"
~Neitsche

When The Road Becomes My Bride....
When the Road becomes my Bride
and the earth becomes my throne
I adapt to the unknown
Under wandering stars Ive grown
By myself but not alone
Off the beaten path I reign
Rover wanderer
Nomad vagabond
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home
and the earth becomes my throne
I adapt to the unknown
Under wandering stars Ive grown
By myself but not alone
Off the beaten path I reign
Rover wanderer
Nomad vagabond
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home
- Lyrics adapted from Metallica's Wherever I May Roam

Sometimes The Lights All Shining On Me..
Sometimes the lights all shining on me
Other times I can barely see
Lately it occurs to me
What a long strange trip it's been
Other times I can barely see
Lately it occurs to me
What a long strange trip it's been

Adrift In the Sea of Yearning
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
Swimming in a fish bowl,
Year after year,
Running over the same old ground.
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.
- Pink Floyd (Wish You Were Here)

Shelter From The Storm
A Philosophical looking bird caught in the snow fall. In the Garhwal Himal in Uttarakhand India.
I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail,
Poisoned in the bushes an' blown out on the trail,
Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
Poisoned in the bushes an' blown out on the trail,
Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn.
"Come in," she said,
"I'll give you shelter from the storm."
- Bob Dylan (Shelter from the Storm)

The Whispering Wind.
Will the wind ever remember
The names it has blown in the past
And with his crutch, it’s old age, and it's wisdom
It whispers "No, this will be the last"
~Jimmy Hendrix (The Wind Cries Mary)

The Lord Of The Ring
All the birds have flown up and gone;
A lonely cloud floats leisurely by.
We never tire of looking at each other -
Only the mountain and I
- Li Po (Alone Looking At The Mountain)

We never tire of looking at each other -
Only the mountain and I

Distant Ships On The Horizon
Ships that pass in the night, and speak each other in passing,
Only a signal shown, and a distant voice in the darkness.
So on the ocean of life we pass and speak one another.
Only a look and a voice; then darkness again and a silence.
Only a signal shown, and a distant voice in the darkness.
So on the ocean of life we pass and speak one another.
Only a look and a voice; then darkness again and a silence.

And soon, too soon, we part with pain,
To sail o’er silent seas again.

Young Buds
Countless the twigs which tremble at Dawn,
When Young Buds Lean on each other in yearning..
As little by little the night turns around
When Young Buds Lean on each other in yearning..
As little by little the night turns around
(The frangipani tree in my backyard at dawn, lyrics adapted from Pink Floyd's : Set the Control For the Heart of the Sun.)

The Lotus Eaters
Pale watchers weary of watching stars
That fall, and fall, and forever fall,
Tear-worn and troubled with many scars,
They seek the Lotus and end life's thrall.
